Argyle
Argyle started in the summer of 2000. I had just graduated high school and my high school friends wanted to start a sorta skate punk fat wreckchords type of band. I had started playing drums in the begining of high school, and this would be my first band I ever played in. I didn't really listen to any punk music, so Doug made me learn how to play double kick beats and kept pushing me to play the music faster and faster until the music was absurdly fast and sexy. We played locally, mostly at the Cactus Club, Mitchell Park, and The Chemical Free Zone. Strickland quit the band due to personal issues a few years later. Doug and I convinced our friend Mike to fill in on guitar while we looked for another permanent guitarist. Mike and I bonded over our developing interest in indie music and decided to start Shinobu.
Mike also got a sweet telecaster out of the whole deal!
Doug went to join Plans For Revenge and is now in Seize the Night and Left of Christ.
DuBois now studies film at San Francisco state and is stoned almost every single time i see him. Niiiice!
Strickland now works out at Gold's Gym and is studying recording and electronic music at Foothill college.
Mike is now dead.
