The Runaway Five The brainchild of Dan McKee, the smoothest operator in the PNP collective, the Runaway Five was originally conceived at a party at Tyler's house by Dan, Bob and Jason Jason. The original idea was to start an awesome ska band, and name ourselves something ludicrous like "The Original Skanksters". Ruben and Mike got in on it pretty quick, and we then spent a year or so trying to organize a practice but never successfully did so. When the band finally started rolling, instead of being a ska band, we ended being as a kind of weird pop band. We recruited Jon from Shinobu to play keyboards because none of us were very good at it, and Bob ended up switching from trombone to bass when Ruben moved to LA. We play parties.
