The Sweater Kids Putting the "O, ME" back in EMO, The Sweater Kids were at the forefront of the whiny South Bay emo scene. Always dressed in their best sweaters, the Sweater Kids seemed as if their music was always a bit too much for even them, often breaking into tears in the middle of a song and hugging for the remainder of the set. Their premier song "Feelings" consisted of crying as its only lyrics. The Sweater Kids later exceeded the bounds of Emo, and even Screamo to create a new genre - EXTREMO. After walking away from their first performance with heads hung low, they were never heard of again, iconically exactly at the same time as The Badder Brains (who bear a surprising resemblance, but are totally not the same.)
