We’re very excited to be releasing the new 7″ from Los Angeles’ SLIME GIRLS. Their first album Vacation Wasteland was a groundbreaking chiptune record, with deep rocksteady grooves, and sentimental punk anthems. Slime Girls build upon that foundation and explore new territory with the 2 new tracks on this record. “Yumemi” takes the band’s punk roots in a dreamier, hazier direction, while dance track “Lonely Planet Girl” celebrates the moods and melodies of the band’s J-pop influences. We’re super jazzed to finally release this split between YULIA and OLIVIAS. Yulia play reverb-drenched indie/punk, as if the Buzzcocks had stumbled drunkenly onto the Creation Records roster. Howdy! I’m excited to announce that our next release will be a 10-inch jammer from ORGANIZED GRIME. OG are some grimey dudes from the Bay Area playing fast, fed-up punk jams. Inspired in part by the late 90?s, beers, and the human condition. The songs are very political and also very funny at the same time. Serious punk that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Preview a song from the forthcoming SHINOBU album, 10 Thermidor, called “Culture, Inc.” over at the Onion AV Club. Click HERE for that. We’re very excited to share that with you and can’t wait to share the rest of the record with you soon.
What we’re doing for the album is a pre-order meets fundraiser of sorts. Our good friends at LAUREN RECORDS and REALLY RECORDS will be releasing the record and are currently taking orders for the LP (on either translucent red or white vinyl), along with bundles that include extra goodies like an exclusive zine, tape, and t-shirt. Here’s what that insane t-shirt will look like…
The fundraiser part comes in like this: Once we sell $1000 worth of stuff, we’ll release another song. At $2000, yet another song. Upon hitting $3000, we’ll release the whole dang record for free over at Quote Unquote Records. I hope that sounds coooooool.

Pre-orders for the TOUMING MAGAZINE 7″ are up now in the MAILORDER section. If you aren’t familiar with Touming Magazine, they’re a Taiwanese post-punk band whose music echoes the best of 90?s indie bands like Number Girl, Superchunk and Sonic Youth. Their dense, lush guitar interplay underpins melancholy vocals that touch on teenage angst, sentimental thoughts, as well as sexual hallucinations in a sharp yet poetic tone.
Pre-orders will ship out by September 5th. Vinyl is limited to 300 copies on purple vinyl.
